Field Excursion to Sunapee’s Drinking Water and Wastewater Facilities

  • LSPA Center for Lake Studies 63 Main Street Sunapee, NH 03782 USA (map)

Have you ever wondered what happens to the water when you flush the toilet or where it comes from when you turn on the tap?  Join David Bailey, Superintendent of the Sunapee Water & Sewer Department, to learn about how the drinking water and wastewater treatment plants operate and some of the challenges faced by the department. The drinking water plant serves a portion of Sunapee residents and businesses, and the wastewater treatment plant treats wastewater from a subset of residents and businesses in Sunapee and New London.

Click here to register.  Space is limited. Attendees are responsible for getting themselves to each plant.  Meet at the Drinking Water Treatment facility at 10 AM (56 Harbor Hill Road, Sunapee).
