Landscaping for Water Quality: A Workshop and Expo for Homeowners

  • LSPA Center for Lake Studies 63 Main Street Sunapee, NH 03782 USA (map)

Join us for an engaging workshop and expo event to learn how to manage stormwater runoff on your property.  A short classroom session will be followed by a local site visit where participants will learn how to read the landscape and discuss ways to slow down rainwater and promote infiltration into the soil.  Attendees will also learn about LSPA’s Watershed Wise program and hear from a past participant about the changes he made to his landscape, primarily using plants, to reduce erosion.

Following the earlier sessions, we will host an expo between 11 am - 12:30 pm.  Stop by during this time period to visit eight outdoor stations on topics including lake-friendly lawn best practices, native plants to prevent erosion, native pollinator plants for rain gardens, rubber water razors to prevent channeling of driveways and how to test and improve soil health for your landscape.
