Join us for an engaging presentation on the impacts of invasive species in our watershed, featuring LSPA Executive Director and former Ecology Professor Elizabeth Harper, along with Conservation Program Manager Susie Burbidge. Together, they will explore the science and ecology of invasive species, as well as the tradeoffs involved in different methods of control and prevention. Susie will highlight LSPA’s two lines of defense against aquatic invasive species: the Lake Host Program and the Invasive Watch Program. Following the presentation, there will be an extended Q&A session, providing an opportunity to ask questions and gain a deeper understanding of how invasive species affect both our aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems.
