
Sue Venable has been appointed to the LSPA Board as the representative from Springfield. Venable has spent every summer of her life on the lake, as a member of the Gordon family who protected land and shorefront in Georges Mills. She and her husband Gene are recent year-round retiree transplants from New Jersey to Springfield.
Venable is an educator who taught kindergarten and first grade and ran a preschool. She retired from the position of chair of the education department of Sussex County Community College. The Venables have four grown children. The youngest, still in college, is in environmental studies and has done several projects on the Sunapee watershed.
