Once again another summer season is upon us. One of the reasons Lake Sunapee remains relatively free of invasive species is because of the efforts of all our volunteer weed watchers.
On this site are the Weed Watch Area Maps showing each team’s patrol shoreline. Also the PDF on this page is the reporting form, which may be emailed, mailed or dropped off at LSPA each month.
The drop-off location for suspicious weeds during non-business hours (office hours are 9-5 Monday-Friday) will be in a cooler within the gazebo located near the parking area entrance of the Knowlton House. The Weed Watcher Kickoff Meeting is scheduled for 9:00 am on Saturday June 27 at the Knowlton House. LSPA invites you to attend and learn what’s new from Amy Smagula of the NH Department of Environmental Services.
