The picture on the right shows the layout of F&G's proposed double motorized boat ramp for the 3 acre site known as Wild Goose on Lake Sunapee. This proposal will be environmentally destructive, involving over 2 of the 3 acres. According to the state public access plan, this type of launch is recommended for a 15-30 acre site.
Alternatives such as a car-top only or improving the State Beach ramp do exist. And the hazardous traffic patterns onto and off Rt 103 are not being taken into consideration. The state should set a good example for other waterfront and watershed owners by being good stewards.
