Bathymetry is the study of contours or "topography" under waterbodies. Lake Sunapee's recent study shows several basins tied together! This mapping, together with the watershed topography and GIS land use will enable scientists and LSPA to understand the relationships between the water and land. This information together with the water quality data already points to some areas of priority with regard to water protection.
